秦汉瓦当文字 已发现秦汉瓦当文字，少则1字，多至10余字不等。有单纯文字及文字与图案相结合两种类型。秦汉瓦当文字多为篆书，内容为分3大类：１、建筑题名。如秦的“羽阳千秋”（羽阳宫所用），西汉的“长陵西神”（长陵宫殿所用）、“宗正宫当”（宗正寺所用）等。２、记事志念。如西汉初的“汉并天下”、“汉廉天下”，北方边塞有“单于和亲”、“单于天降”以及东汉西海郡的“西海安定元兴元年作当”等。３、吉祥语。如“千秋万岁”、“与天无极”、“长乐未央”等。
