扇贝科 Pectinidae;scallop 软体动物门双壳纲翼形亚纲珍珠贝目的一科。广泛分布于世界各海域,以热带海的种类最为丰富。中国已发现约45种。扇贝贝壳较大,近圆形。背缘直。前后具耳,多数种两耳不等 。右 壳前耳下方具有足丝孔 。贝壳 表面常有放射肋,肋上有鳞片或小棘。生长纹细密而规则。壳色多样。闭壳肌特别发达。足丝发达。雌雄异体或雌雄同体。除少数分布在深海外 ,多数种栖息在潮线下300米以内的浅海底 。大部以足丝附着或在海底自由生活。扇贝肉营养丰富,肥大的闭壳肌经加工干制后,称为干贝或带子,是名贵的海珍品。美丽的贝壳可做装饰品。
