【免息】债权人对债务人免收的贷款利息。免息一般包括两种情况:①债权人对债务人所借贷款本金豁免后，其利息也随之免交。如中共中央、国务院中发(65)174号《关于处理1%1年以前农村四项欠款问题的通知》规定:“农村杜队欠国家的赊销款、预付款、预购定金和农业贷款，截止至目前未归还部分，一律豁免，不再偿还”。②债权人要求债务人归还贷款本金，但可免交贷款利息。免息具有较强的历史性和政策性。近年来，随着银行商业化进程的加快，免息政策已很少使用。从l哭场年8月1日开始实施的《贷款通则》第十六条明确规定，除国务院决定外，任何单位和个人无权决定免息。
